Domestic abuse support groups
Domestic abuse support groups provide a safe and confidential space for individuals to share their experiences, receive emotional support, and connect with others who have faced similar challenges.
These groups provide a confidential space, offer a sense of community and understanding, helping participants break the isolation often associated with abuse.
Facilitated by trained professionals, support groups can empower individuals to rebuild their confidence, learn coping strategies, and access resources that aid in their recovery and healing. The groups follow our bespoke ‘Keys to Freedom’ programme which focus on helping victims gain a greater understanding of power and control in abusive relationships, together with the effects of domestic abuse on children.
We empower women with the skills to spot abuse and unhealthy relationships in future and support each other. Seeing others survive domestic abuse and go on to thrive is extremely powerful as a recovery tool, and many of our participants form lasting support links through these programmes.
